Is Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim an Incomplete Sentence?

Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, Most Mercifcul This isn't a sentence. It's a fragment. Piece of a sentence. For example, "in the car" isn't a sentence. "There's a person in the car" is a sentence.⠀ ⠀ When you say Allah's name, that's not a sentence. When translators studied this, they thought: "Wow this is incomplete." They thought maybe it means, "I begin" with the name of Allah" even though "I begin" isn't there. So the question is: Why is it incomplete? ⠀ ⠀ This is the Wisdom of Allah (SWT). He taught us how to speak. He knows how to speak. We don't judge His speech by our standards. Allah gave us an incomplete...

Why does Allah Say That Hearts Think?

Why does Allah say that hearts think? When mentioned in the Quran, "heart" implies heart's thinking power because Allah says revelation, ayah, faith are inside the heart. When we think from the heart, we are reminded of Allah.⠀ ⠀ A botanist can tell us the species of a tree, age, best environment to grow a tree but if you look at that tree with the heart, not from brain alone, you’ll be reminded that Allah brings life out of death because that tree at one point was just a seed. Allah brought good out of it. Allah brought life to it. We are reminded of our own mortality when we see a tree.⠀ ⠀ A scientist can look at the...

Everyone will make progress in their own way. Allah didn't ask you to be perfect. Summarized from lecture by Nouman Ali Khan

Tawakkul

Tawakkul. That's how I got through it. Amputation would have been more difficult had it not been for my complete trust in Him. Mental vision was blurry - I couldn't see ahead. Experienced doctors didn't have many answers. We were taking it day by day, scan by scan. But Allah The All Wise, The All Knowing knew this was the best time to test me. Allah tested me during a time in my life that my imaan was stronger than couple years before (not strongEST but strongER). He is the best of Planners. Without having any time to think, it was because of Tawakkul that I said Bismillah to the surgery after being diagnosed with cancer. I knew it in...

The Greatest Blessing of Jannah (Paradise)

The greatest blessing of Jannah is not Jannah or the things inside Jannah. Rather the greatest blessing of Jannah is something even more than Jannah itself. Allah SWT will lift the veil and we will look at His face. The Quran tells us that when we see the face of Allah, our faces will become bright and shining. (Quran 75:22-23) | (Yasir Qadhi) Many times when we think of Jannah, we think of the mansions, the rivers, the hoor, the fruits, golden goblets and cups, but we forget that having the opportunity to see Allah azza wa jal is greater than all of these bounties. Allah azza wa jal praises the believers for worshipping Him “bil ghayb”, in the unseen,...
