The people of Ethiopia are starving. We often forget about our brothers & sisters in Africa.

Allah (SWT) has blessed IMAAN Shop with thousands of amazing & supportive followers across my social media, Alhumdulillah. Let’s take this beautiful opportunity to have us all get together to raise funds for the families in Ethiopia. We spend money daily on unnecessary purchases that we don’t really need. Giving awakens our souls and triggers genuine concern for the well-being of others.

If many of us donate $5, it will make a BIG difference, In sha Allah.

On May 1st, 2016, the Pious Projects team arrived in Ethiopia where they were devastated to find the people starving and dying due to a previous drought in the region. This photo above isn’t from Google images. It’s one of the women that Pious Projects Team and Mohammed Zeyara met during their trip (beautiful photo by Yasin Osman @yescene Instagram ).

A woman climbed down a mountain in search of a lemon to give to her sick husband because she couldn't afford medicine. Subhan Allah Pious Projects traveled from across the world at the same time she was searching for a lemon. She said, "If it wasn't for Allah being with me and my firm belief in Him, we would have perished long ago." Wow her imaan, Subhan Allah.

It's unbelievable how a people with so little are tested with trials so huge. Trials that most of us could not imagine bearing. And in the midst of their trials, we have a part to play. We now have the opportunity to give back to these people and give them something to look forward to after a long, hot day.

The following will be distributed to each family, give or take:

25 kilograms of Rice

5 liters of Cooking oil

5 kilograms of Sugar

2 kilograms of Dates

2 kilograms of Tea

The cost of the above items is roughly $35 per family. However, they're also purchasing cows and will be distributing dehydrated meat to each family.
