Al-Quds - Jerusalem - is one of the most ancient cities in the world. It functions as a holy place and a central religious symbol within the religions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

Dr Mohammed Al-Khateeb is Professor of Islamic Studies and Comparative Religion at Al al-Bayt University, Jordan, as well as Chief Editor of The Jordanian Journal in Islamic Studies. He holds a PhD from Manchester University in Comparative Religion.
