I was feeling emotionally down last week.
I couldn’t focus during salah and Quran. My imaan was feeling low ☹️. I always thought that once you wear a hijab, you’re automatically pious. That’s not the case – at least not with me. I need to constantly recharge my imaan by listening to Islamic lectures, reading reminders and doing dhikr.
It wasn’t working this time. Emotions were just…weird.
So I decided to fast which I only do during Ramadan or make up for any missed ones.
I felt a sudden calm. Alhamdu lillah. The things I was worried about, all went away.
Allah SWT took care of my affairs. If you’re stressing or feeling down, maybe you can try fasting. It made me a happy person and I pray fasting makes you happy too 😊
